So what would you do? You would B line it straight for the puddles and make mud pies and such. {I’m realizing this might only represent the male experience :)}
Once you got caught, the response might be an immediate whoopin’ or possibly…”Wait ’til your father gets home,” type of business.
But Your heavenly father, your perfect Daddy never leaves the house. He’s got loving, watchful eyes on you now.
Look up from your pile of dirt, get inside the house, and let Jesus wash your hands.
You could go straight to the faucet yourself, but Jesus is the only one with the soap.
“I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6 NIV)
He will present you as blameless before the Father.
We are all filthy dirty!! ALL of us. Life in this sinful world is one BIG mud puddle.
No one can make themselves clean enough. God’s standard is perfection.
No matter how much good we do, we can never deserve heaven or salvation.
There is no WORKING our way to God.
Jesus is our only hope.
Salvation is absolutely free, but only upon request. In reality it is not even up to you. It is up to God.
I pray that you who are far from the Lord today, in this moment, the Lord CHOOSES to give you the gift of faith through His grace and mercy.
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Romans 15:13 NIV)
Share the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ today with a friend who is still trying to clean up their dirt themselves.
You open your mouth and let Jesus do the rest.
