“Untitled” By Arman Sheffey
Trapped behind a shroud of fading smiles.
One false move from cracking and shattering to pieces.
Fumbling for the darkness in a world of light…
dying to feel something…
Something true.
Something real.
Something of you.
Something that’s got your fingerprints and mine intertwined and smudging the pages of our short story.
Dull lead scrapes sharp white as the college ruled lines keep the pain from spilling into the next chapter.
Yet the ribbon stays rested along the binding holding the memory on this side of the margin like the banks of a river holding water at bay for a season.
As time treads along the thread its all bound to come unbound.
But what then.
Will past give way to future?
Or will old charcoal brush against and stain the pages yet written?
How can I stay within these lines when yesterday pushes me to freedom?
My emotions ooze across the inches of boundary until My son’s jumping joy calls me to remember tomorrow.
So I accept an invitation to LIVE. AGAIN.

Dedicated to my wonderful wife, Lariza!!! I’ll never be SO GONE!

Its not strange my lyrics are after change
but for this arrangement I’m changing up my lane
Still Pastor Fury faithful preacher in the pulpit
But now I wanna stop and praise my wifey for a lil bit
SO Gone, that’s what they said when I met her so Long
ago, So long my bro, but no, It was so long to the so wrong
version of me, she was God’s tool to start conversion in me
SO I’ll go on….and keep the flow strong
She something special loving people like no other
She was there lifting me up on the day I lost my brother
She the devoted mother of my children and my lover,
So why would I keep this love undercover, hope ya’ll discover…a woman as noble as mine
She aint picture perfect, but you know she’s picture fine
Central American skin tone, with Italian design
She consumes my mind..got me losing track of time
Loves me better than I deserve, though sometimes reserved, she keeps me in check when I start to swerve
Off course, of course the Lord plots our course, but her wise words touch home and let me know that God’s the source
Of this divine intertwining of hearts souls and minds
On the day I reach heaven, I might ask to rewind, to do it all over again…with Lariza my best friend,
I know its cliche but our love will never end
You can shrug and laugh it off
Call this rhyme cheesy, but if you had what I did, trust me saying this would be easy.
Don’t believe me ..well thats all good
When God brings you yours it’ll be understood
Til then you might just need to float on
and recognize I’m never gonna be so gone!
I’m here for life, and life after death…
SO I’m praying God keeps us tight till we outta breath,
Theres nothing left that
I aint express yet
She’s the best yes
So I’ll never say no
